GreenON Industries
Receive up to $5M to $20M in Government Grant Funding.
As administered by the Green Ontario Fund and Ontario Centres of Excellence, the GreenON Industries program supports projects reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from buildings and production facilities where large amounts of GHGs are produced. Through the program, industrial emitters will be able to offset the costs of purchasing and integrating modern, efficient technologies which lead to verifiable reductions in GHG emissions.
Funding Amount
(1) Tech Deployment Stream: Grant funding supporting up to 50% of eligible costs to a maximum of $5 million in government funding.
(2) Large Scale Tech Deployment & Facility Modernization Stream: Grant funding supporting up to 50% of eligible costs to a maximum of $20 million in government funding.
Eligible Applicants
(1) Tech Deployment Stream: Ontario-based large industrial emitters with over 500 employees.
(2) Large Scale Tech Deployment & Facility Modernization Stream: Ontario-based large industrial emitters with greenhouse gas pollution of over 400,000 tonnes and more than 500 employees OR an Ontario-based new facility developer, partnered with an Ontario based large industrial emitter.
Eligible Activities
(1) Tech Deployment Stream: Implementation of commercially-proven tech or demonstration of new tech for the sector in new or existing facilities.
(2) Large Scale Tech Deployment & Facility Modernization Stream: Projects focused on implementing new, commercially-available tech in new facilities; projects with potential to substantially reduce GHGs from top emitters’ operations.
