SME in Action Program
Receive up to $50,000 in Government Funding.
The SME in Action program is a federal government funding program that helps SMEs carry out feasibility studies prior to the realization of investment projects in Québec. The SME in Action Program aims to increase competitiveness and productivity, create new businesses, and stimulate more jobs and sustainable development.

Amount of Funding
Eligible businesses could receive up to 40% of eligible costs to a maximum of $50,000 per project.
Please note that funding for this program may not surpass a cumulative rate of government assistance exceeding 50% of total project expenses.
SME in Action Program
Eligible Applicants
Applicants for the SME in Action program may be eligible if they meet the following criteria:
- Applicants are a manufacturer;
- Applicants work in the engine service sector. Ideal companies are generally active in the following sectors:
- Infotech and communications;
- Environmental services;
- Creation and industrial design services; and
- Industrial laboratories and scientific services and more.

Eligible Activities
The following activities may be eligible for the SME in Action program:
- Carrying out feasibility studies to analyze technical or economic parameters of business establishment
- Foster modernization or expansion projects;
- Decision-making for short-term Québec investments;
- Studies eligible for funding include:
- An Analysis of market, process or technology;
- Site selection; and
- Regulatory and legal framework.

Program Deadline
Ongoing application intake will continue to accept applications until the funding pool is depleted. Project implementation period may not exceed a maximum and continuous period of twelve months.
