Bioenterprise – Sustainable Growth and Adoption Program (SGAP)
Receive up to $100,000 in Funding.
FedDev Ontario is launching a new Sustainable Growth and Adoption Program (SGAP) this fall through Bioenterprise, in order to promote sustainability across the value chain. Funding will support will companies to adopt new technologies or adapt current operations to become greener and more sustainable.

Amount of Funding
- Non-repayable contributions between $40,000 – $100,000.
- Applications must procure 60% match of the project costs, up to $150,000.

Eligible Applicants
To be eligible for this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be incorporated and located in Southern Ontario;
- Generate a minimum of $200K in revenue;
- Operate in the Food and Agri-Tech sectors; and
- Be a for-profit private sector enterprise or NFPs ready to:
- Adopt proven clean technologies from an Eligible Sustainability Project Partner and/or;
- Engage an Eligible Sustainability Project Partner for sustainability enhancement projects.
Sustainability Partner must be:
- A for-profit private sector enterprise or a NFP able to:
- Offer a proven clean technology or consultation service that reduces the applicant’s carbon footprint and accelerates their transition to net zero; and
- Provide a Statement of Work.

Eligible Activities
Projects must involve one or both of the below:
- Integration of proven clean technologies into operations; and/or
- Implementation of sustainability enhancement activities to assess possible modifications to current operations
