BC Rural Dividend Fund
Receive up to $500,000 in Business Expansion Funding.
As administered by the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development, the BC Rural Dividend Fund assists rural British Columbia communities and non-profit organizations to reinvigorate and diversify the local economy.
Funding Amount
Depends on the type of applicant/stream applying for, including (1) Project Development: Up to 100% of eligible project expenses to a maximum $10,000, (2) Single Applicant: Up to 80% of eligible project expenses to a maximum $100,000, and (3) Partnerships: Up to 60% of eligible project expenses to a maximum $500,000.
Eligible Applicants
British Columbia-based municipal governments (population of 25,000 or less, located outside Metro Vancouver and the Capital Regional District), non-profit organizations, and First Nations band councils or businesses.
Eligible Activities
Community capacity building, workforce development, community and economic development, and business sector development.
Deadline to Apply
Accepts applications during defined intake periods. The next intake begins June 15, 2019 and will close on August 15, 2019. Applicants are typically notified of a funding decision within four months of application. Projects must be complete within two years from the start date.
