Receive up to $855K in Sustainable Project Funding.
In Manitoba, the Sustainable Agriculture Manitoba (SAM) program funds the adoption of beneficial management practices (BMPs) that increase the sector’s environmental and economic sustainability. Within three funding streams, the program funds a variety of BMPs.

Amount of Funding
Crop Land Management
- Ranging from 30% – 50% of total eligible costs, up to a max. amount ranging from $10K – $140K
Manure and Livestock Management
- Ranging from 50% – 75% of total eligible costs, up to a max. amount ranging from $85K – $855K
Water Management
- Ranging from 30% – 50% of total eligible costs, up to a max. amount ranging from $10K – $145K

Eligible Applicants
Applicants must be BMP specific and may be:
- Primary Producers;
- Commercial Manure Applicators; and
- Custom Pesticide Operators.

Eligible Activities
Crop Land Management stream:
- Supports the adoption of cropland management practices that optimize operations and improve productivity. To learn more about the eligible BMPs under this focus area, contact our team today.

Program Deadline
All invoices must be dated on or after April 1, 2023. Projects must be completed by March 31, 2024. All Funding Streams have an application deadline of June 13, 2023.
