Emergency Processing Fund (EPF)
Receive up to 50% to a maximum $5M in Grant Funding.
With the novel coronavirus putting Canadian businesses in uncertain circumstances, the federal government has created the Emergency Processing Fund (EPF) to provide organizations with up to $5M in non-repayable funding towards equipping their workplaces with PPE, sanitization, and following social distancing best practices. The Emergency Processing Fund (EPF) is no longer accepting applications as of July 31, 2020.
Funding Amount
Up to 50% for SMEs (less than 500 FTEs) and up to 25% for large companies (500+ FTEs) to a maximum of $5M per recipients. Non-repayable and repayable contributions dependant on the stream.
Eligible Applicants
For profit organizations, in operation for at least 2 years, and involved in food production in Canada (food processing, food manufacturing, and agricultural producers adapting greenhouses).
Eligible Activities
2 Streams: (1) Emergency COVID Response – plant retrofits required for the health and safety of workers (2) Strategic Investments – improvement or modernizations to increase Canada’s food supply.
