Government Funding – How to Locate Programs and How to Use Them
Bernadeen McLeod of Mentor Works will how Canadian government funding programs help small and medium-sized businesses tackle the financing challenges to meet goals for strategic growth. Â Serving the need of working capital, expanding into new markets, software or hardware development, manufacturing equipment and more are just a few of the challenges that can be met through accessing the right government grants for small business and low-interest business loans Ontario. Â Mentor Works also supports the identification, application support and writing of different types of Canadian government funding programs both provincially and at the federal level. Â Bernadeen will explain the funding mechanisms and their particular eligibility requirements, as well as how to simplify the application process.

Ross Cooper of Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) will discuss changes to the Scientific Research & Experimental Development tax credit program for 2013 and will answer any questions you may have regarding the SR&ED program.  Ross will touch on project activity eligibility, what expenses to track, how to best document your work, what is required in your project narratives, all of which are important issues to ensuring that you have success with this program.
