Export Manager Program Updated to Support More Companies
Please Note: The Export Manager Program is now closed and not accepting further applications. For trade show grants and other forms of export support, please visit our page on Business and Export Expansion Funding Programs.
The Export Manager Program is a two-streamed government fund operated by the Ministry of Economic Development & Trade. The Fund was created to help Ontario small to medium sized businesses increase their exporting efforts by providing funding in one of two areas: (1) Conducting a Market Readiness Assessment (up to $5,000 in support) or (2) Hiring an Export Manager (up to $80,000 in support).
EMP Now Accepts Companies ?50% Export Sales
Before now, EMP only accepted companies with 10-30% of their sales relating to exports. However, they have recently updated their guidelines to include all companies with export sales that make up 50% or less of their total sales. This makes EMP more attainable for many Ontario businesses seeking to increase their exporting activities.
