Canadian Business Grants Employee Eligibility
In order to qualify for these government grants for small business through the FPHRC employers must meet the following criteria:
- Hire an eligible employee, and
- Offer a placement of between 3 to 12 months, at 30 hours or more per week

To be eligible for Canada small business grants employees must be:
- Under the age of 30 and new to the company
- Post-secondary graduates
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents or those whom have refugee status
(Note: employees may not receive employment insurance (EI) while in the program)
