Minister of State Bergen Announces Call for Proposals
Minister of State (Social Development) Candice Bergen was in Nanaimo, BC on August 6, 2014 to announce a call for proposals for The Enabling Accessibility Fund for Small Businesses. The program offered through Employment and Social Services Development Canada (ESDC) is offering Canadian business grants of up to $50,000 for projects that prove to increase accessibility for Canadians with disabilities in workplaces across Canada.
The Enabling Accessibility Fund Canadian Business Grants: Eligibility
In order to qualify for the Enabling Accessibility Fund offered through ESDC, projects must address the objective of removing barriers and improving accessibility of workplaces in order to enable Canadians with disabilities to make more meaningful contributions to local communities and economies. Projects will improve accessibility through construction and renovation activities that will improve accessibility in the workplace.
How to Apply for the Enabling Accessibility Fund
Small businesses are encouraged to apply for funding, to receive grants of up to $50,000 for projects that will increase accessibility for Canadians with disabilities in workplaces across the country.
