CME Smart Program Funds 50% of Your Productivity Enhancements

Southern Ontario businesses looking to improve their operational efficiency will want to take a close look at the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) Smart Program. This program was designed to assist companies in Southern Ontario who are looking to increase their productivity or reduce their waste.
Eligibility Requirements
Interested companies must be incorporated for at least 2 years. They must also have between 10 and 500 employees and carry out manufacturing practices based in Canada.
Preferred projects objectives:
- Productivity Improvement
- Quality Improvement
- Energy Efficiency
- Environmental Impact Reduction; or
- Information Technology Best Practices
Funding Amount
This program covers 50% of eligible project costs, up to a maximum of $50,000. Eligible costs include direct labour, capital equipment, installation, consulting, training, benchmarking, and administration expenses.
Funding Availability
The CME Smart Program releases funds in lump sums throughout the year. The next round of funding should be released in the next couple of months (if not sooner), so we strongly encourage potential applicants to start the process as soon as possible.
