Managed by the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service, the Canadian Technology Accelerators (CTA) provide Canadian startups access to unique resources and contacts to spur international growth. CTAs help participant firms refine their business model, perform competitive research, access financing and develop important relationships.

CTA for Health IT helps participant firms with the following:
- In-depth assessment and sales strategy for the U.S. market
- Strategic partnership development and new client acquisition
- Connectivity with regional funding organizations, angel groups and venture capital firms
- Evaluation of the need for a U.S. presence
Canadian Technology Accelerator –Cost of Program
There are no fees to be paid by companies that qualify for this program. Companies are however responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
Canadian Technology Accelerator –Application Process
Six companies are selected for the program each year. Calls for applications are made by the Consulate General of Canada in New York. For those interested in the September cycle, applications should be completed and received by no later than April 25, 2014.
