Canada Job Grant Funding for Training to be Available in Ontario “As Soon As Possible”
A government official that agreed to speak under anonymity recently told CBC News that Ottawa expected the remaining provinces and territories, including Ontario, to implement the program “as soon as possible.” They went on to suggest that the grant should be in place by the end of the summer or beginning of the fall with each remaining province expected to launch individually over the course of the next several days.

It took nearly 500 days for the Canada Job Grant to gain acceptance but finally by the beginning of July 2014 all ten provinces had signed on, and now the nationwide rollout of the Canada Job Grant is underway. The Canada Job Grant program is a $200 million investment on behalf of the federal government. Proponents of the program promise the funding for training program will help re-skill thousands of employees nationwide, helping Canadians move into higher demand positions while bridging skills gaps of participating employers.
