The Career Focus program is a hiring initiative that enables new graduates to learn and train in a career-related workplace. Participants must be recent graduates between the ages of 15 and 30 who are eligible to work in Canada and not currently receiving Employment Insurance payments. Eligible employers receive a wage subsidy for hiring the intern for a 4-8 month term of employment.
Mentor Works will post updates on the ICTC Career Focus Program via our Canadian government funding blog as information becomes available. In the meantime, it is recommended that those planning to utilize the ICTC government grants for small business funding begin looking for an eligible candidate, as applicants must specify their intern in the application, however keep them off of payroll until you are accepted for funding.
