On Tuesday January 30, Mentor Works Ltd. will be joined by Niagara College to host a free webinar for Canadian businesses interested in conducting R&D with post-secondary institutions.
The session will review government funding programs to support innovation and R&D collaboration, and will also provide insight into Niagara College’s Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre.

Webinar Speakers
Jim Lambert joined Niagara College in 2015, after 33 years with Bosch Rexroth Canada, most recently as Design Engineering Manager. The Niagara resident sees the move as a homecoming, since he is a graduate of the College’s mechanical engineering program, serves on both the Mechanical PAC and the alumni boards, and more recently was part of the advisory committee for the Manufacturing Centre.
As Centre Manager, Jim is responsible for the overall operations of the Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre, shaping its strategic direction, including outreach to industry, as well as determining new or untapped sectors of industry that could benefit from the Centre’s offerings.
Ryan started his career with a global leader in the construction supply industry. Following this, he combined his technical sales experience with a Master’s Degree from McMaster University to take on progressive leadership and executive roles within the Ontario construction sector.
Ryan now combines his leadership and business experience with an interest in helping Canadian companies apply government funding to their strategic plan. In addition to leading Mentor Works’ team of Business Development Executives, he helps Canadian companies understand the importance of combining government grants and loans in support of short-and-long-term growth strategies.
