April 13: CTMA Plant Tour and Dinner Meeting
Join the Canadian Tooling and Machining Association (CTMA) as they partner with Centreline (Windsor) Limited for a tour of Centreline’s Machinery Division. Participants will receive a walkthrough of the facility, including an overview of their automated production equipment and other advanced technologies. Dinner will be provided, and afterwards participants will be able to learn about saveONenergy energy conservation funding programs. Mentor Works’ Business Development Executive, Kerri Raposo, will be attending and can answer any questions related to Canadian government funding for manufacturing projects.
April 14: Ontario Independent Meat Processors (OIMP) Industry Day 2016
The Ontario Independent Meat Processors Association (OIMP) will be hosting its Industry Day education and networking event on April 14. Here, businesses within Ontario’s meat industry (including processors, producers, retailers, and suppliers) can make new relationships and develop greater industry synergies, leading to enhanced productivity and new business opportunities. In addition to presentations/ learning seminars hosted throughout the day, participants will also have networking opportunity with Ontario meat products being served.
April 14: CAMM Lunch N’ Learn – Energy Rebates and Savings for Business
Hosted by the Canadian Association of MoldMakers (CAMM), business executives will be able to learn about a variety of incentives to reduce energy costs. Vendors with high efficiency lighting and compressors with be providing examples of how the technology works, and members of the Business Resource Centre of Essex County will be available to discuss a variety of government incentives to reduce the cost of purchase/installation. April 26: EDC Let’s Talk Exports Tour
Export Development Canada (EDC) is Canada’s export credit agency, providing export funding, insurance, and a variety of other solutions to small and mid-sized businesses growing internationally. Join EDC’s Vice-President and Chief Economist, Peter G. Hall with event partner Economic Development Burlington to develop greater context around your exporting opportunities. April 27: Canada Makes: Additive Manufacturing Forum & Open House
Manufacturing business owners and executives won’t want to miss this special opportunity to learn about how additive manufacturing (3D printing) and CNC machining can be used together to develop innovative products.
