Small Business Internship Program (SBIP) Ontario Funding Now Depleted

Funding for the popular wage subsidy, Small Business Internship Program (SBIP), was made available through various funding locations across Canada in early April. Due to the popularity of these Canadian government grants, all Ontario government funding locations have fully allocated their funding budgets. For companies outside of Ontario, please visit the SBIP “Where to Apply” Page to see if there is still funding available in your area.

SBIP: Business Funding Grants for Hiring Marketing Interns

The Small Business Internship Program (SBIP) is grant funding for business and has been available for the last several years to help small businesses build their online presence.

SBIP has focused on hiring a post-secondary student or graduate (depending on the funding year) to conduct e-business initiatives including, keyword analysis, search engine optimization (SEO), social media management, pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns, online content creation, and other online marketing initiatives. The fund is released around April and covers 75% of the 12-week intern’s wage up to $10,000. SBIP is limited to one intern per company.
