Unlocking New Markets: The Grow Ontario Market Initiative
The Grow Ontario Market Initiative (GOM) provides critical support to Ontario’s agri-food businesses, helping them to seize new market opportunities and expand their reach domestically and internationally. Tailored to the needs of primary producers, food processors, and industry organizations, the GOM initiative offers cost-share funding for market analysis, planning, new product development, and marketing. This program is designed to propel Ontario’s agricultural sector to new heights and align with the goals of the Grow Ontario Strategy, which aims to increase the province’s agriculture and food exports by 8% annually.
Program Details
The Grow Ontario Market Initiative offers eligible businesses and organizations up to 50% cost share for approved expenses. Primary producers and food and beverage processors can access up to $60,000 in funding, while sector organizations can receive up to $125,000. This funding is vital for businesses looking to undertake significant projects that can enhance their market presence and competitiveness.
