Funding Snapshot: CFIN Atlantic – Greening Your Food Manufacturing Operation Program
The program supports manufacturers to assess their sustainability practices and develop actionable strategies to address challenges such as food waste, energy usage, and green packaging.
Funding Amount
- 70% of the costs for engaging a third-party consultant, up to a maximum of $25,000 per applicant (non-repayable).
Eligibility
- Applicants: Food or beverage manufacturers with at least 2 years of operation history.
- Location: Must be in one of the Atlantic provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, or Newfoundland & Labrador.
- Project Scope: Engage an external vendor to assess waste reduction, energy efficiency, packaging sustainability, or another eligible greening activity.
- Completion: All project activities must be completed by December 31, 2024.
Eligible Costs
Eligible costs include:
- Consulting;
- Sub-contractor fees; and
- Travel fees for consultants/contractors.
