Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund – Industrial
Receive up to $1 Million in Funding for Energy Savings.
Industrial facilities from a variety of sectors will receive incentives from the Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund – Industrial Stream to undertake and complete climate change-related projects by implementing energy- and cost-saving technologies. These technologies will result in reduced greenhouse gas emissions and energy savings.

Amount of Funding
Eligible applicants may receive the following funding amounts:
- Up to 25% of eligible project costs up to a maximum of $1 million; and
- Applicants can also receive up to $300,000 for electricity-saving upgrades through NB Power.

Eligible Applicants
Must be a business with an industrial facility located in New Brunswick:
- Example eligible sectors include:
- Manufacturing;
- Mining and metals;
- Oil, gas, and chemical;
- Forestry;
- Sawmills;
- Pulp and paper;
- Newspaper;
- Agriculture, including peat moss extraction, cannabis, etc.; and
- Food & beverage.

Eligible Activities
Measurable greenhouse gas emissions reduction projects that include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Facility efficiency upgrades;
- Fuel switching initiatives; and
- Energy intensity reductions.

Program Deadline
Applications for the Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund are accepted on a first come, first served basis with incentives available until December 2023 or until all available funds have been awarded. All projects must be completed and submit proof of payment to NB Power by December 2023.
